Including correspondences
From VeganWiki
Whenever an ingredient is ambiguous enough for you to contact the company, it's worth recording the results of your correspondence here. Some form of written communication (like e-mail, fax or postal mail) is preferred, but you can also summarize the results of verbal conversations.
Be sure to include
- The name and contact information of the person you spoke to.
- The date and time of the communication.
- The exact wording of both sides of the exchange wherever possible.
You may exclude
- Pleasantries exchanged including how much you like their product, how happy they may be to answer your questions, e-mail signature.
- Personally identifying information can be replaced with a description of the information in brackets, like [my name] or [city]
Formatting suggestions
Be sure to indicate clearly where each quoted correspondence begins and ends. For example:
I asked the company:
Blah blah blah
They replied:
Whoever,
Blah blah
The above is formatted as follows:
I asked the company:
Blah blah blah
They replied:
Whoever,
Blah blah

indents a block of text, but also removes line breaks. For line breaks it won't remove, add
wherever you'd like a line broken. To simulate a paragraph break, repeat the tag twice:
